About Us

George Duarte started the company in January 10th, 1992. We were previously named Ultra-Tex. George’s son Alexander Duarte grew up in the business and worked with him from the beginning. When his father George decided to retire in 2018, Alexander brought in a long time family friend Roger Ruiz. Together, they incorporated the business, rebranded it and moved it to East LA in Boyle Heights. Home 2 Renovate is central to all the counties and cities that our 29+ year old company has served and will continue to serve.

Comments: Highly recommend Home 2 Renovate. Communication from the scoping process all the way to completion/project sign off was excellent, they always kept me informed with next steps and were very accurate with their timeline. They actually estimated 2-4 days for the project, but finished in ONE. So amazing! Also everyone at H2R was a pleasure to work with and generally be around - George, Ryan, Kyle, the workers, were all fantastic. Definitely not your typical Southern California shady contractor. All the experiences I've had with contractors (taking 2-3x as long as originally scoped out, charging more at the end, late workers or no shows) was exceeded, and H2R truly set a very high, new bar for reasonable pricing, communication, general knowledge, and punctuality. Project: Paint or Stain Exterior Surfaces

Comments: Alex introduced us to the CoolWall by Tex Cote system that we didn't know about. We decided to go ahead and have our exterior of house completed. Alex, Roger, Tito, and George were very professional in making sure every detail of the job was completed in a highly proficient manner. Tito patched the crack in our wall and we cannot even tell where the existing crack was located. We are very pleased with the results. Our house looks so beautiful with the new Cape Cod Blue trim and Pearl White walls. Now, we do not ever have to paint the exterior again. Our home will be much cooler in summer and warmer in winter, which will save us on gas and electric bills. We would highly recommend Home2Renovate to anyone.

Project: Repair a Sunroom and/or Enclosure

Comments: A HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL AND ORGANIZED COMPANY; A WELL MANNERED STAFF; A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. I hired this company to repair my sunroom roof. Unlike the two previous companies who were hired to do the same job...and botched the repair by only putting on band-aids, Home2Renovate came through by actually fixing my problem! Two company project managers sat with my wife and I and walked us through the process, explaining each step. They took photos of the damaged areas and pointed out other potential problems with the roof. After the initial signing of the contract the installation team came to the house the next day to walk us through their process, pointing out what will actually take place. The day of the repair, the crews arrived on time, had the proper materials, came with a crew who were all proficient in their positions and when finished, cleaned the area professionally. Later in the afternoon, the production manager came out to walk and inspect the repaired roof. He took photos, verified that the work was complete and had me sign off on the work. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs work on their home.
